The Garw Carnival and Rural Fair was reintroduced in 2007 after a 21 year absence. A huge success the carnival has now returned to the Garw as an annual event.

The theme for the event changes year by year with The Mabinogion, Welsh Myths and Legend and Victoriana being included an past themes. The latest theme was Bugs, Birds and Beasts taking "centre stage" in the parade.

After the noon parade a very successful "Rural Fair" is held with many arts, crafts and local talent on show to keep the large crowds entertained all day. The fun and entertainment continue into the night with live music and talent shows leading to a finale of fireworks at the end of the day.

A great and complete day of fun and entertainment for all the family.

So come along and have a great time and if you can why not take part or maybe you would like a stall at the rural fair if so see here for details.

Of course there is lots of work and organizing takes place to stage such an event and many volunteers take part making it all run smoothly on the day. One of the most important preparations for the parade takes place at the workshops.
The Collage below will give you some idea of the work and fun involved at the workshops and we always welcome anyone who has some time to offer us.
